I am writing as a parent of a VCE student tutored by Dr S Patra for chemistry. Soumendra is extremely passionate about chemistry and really wants all of his students to excel. He is able to adjust the homework burden as per the ambitions and capabilities of each student. He gives extra classes and tutorial; there are a lot of mock exams. He is honest in his appraisals about each student's progress and communicates promptly with parents.

Dr Patra is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutor, who helped me immensely to improve my Chemistry. Through his teaching, I have come to like the subject and enjoy what I learnt every week. He provided various sources of materials that were helpful in preparing for SACs and the final exam, that were not given to me by my school, and these resources were really helpful. Dr Soumendra Patra is highly knowledgeable VCE Chemistry tutor. He teaches with a small group and interact with all student during the class. Dr Patra knows the syllabus extremely well and is very regimented and thorough in his approach. Students are provided many practice questions and are periodically tested to measure their progress and understanding. Our son has thrived under Dr Patra's coaching and we thoroughly recommend him.

Dr Soumendra Patra has got in depth knowledge about the subject and the VCE Chemistry requirements. Dr Patra is a very keen chemistry tutor. My daughter learns to appreciates chemistry and has a better understanding of the subject. Dr Patra keeps me updated on my daughter's progress and provide encouragement and advice to my daughter when deemed necessary. Attending Mr Patra's class really helped me to stay on track with my progress and I gradually see improvement in my Chemistry results. He provides students with many wider knowledge that we can't learn from textbooks or in school. Mr Patra is also very helpful in terms of the preparation for my SAC, he replies messages sent as soon as possible, sets test and exams questions do to under exam conditions and gives tips on how to write a full mark explainations.
